What can I expect at Santas House Express?You journey begins once you enter the gates of Palmerstown House Estate and marvel at the breathtaking views and twinkly lights! Guests will make their way under the stairs into the Golf Clubhouse for check-in, Santa’s friendly helpers will be on hand to ensure you have everything you need before your trip to Santa's Magical Manor. The excitement builds as you enter the departure lounge and prepare to hop on-board the train for a magical journey to Santa’s Manor. Enjoy a sing along with the reindeer before you go and look out for a mischievous special guest in our all new ice cave. A warm welcome awaits you from Santa’s Elves and friends at Santa’s beautiful country Manor. Next up it’s time to meet the wonderful Mrs Claus, who is busy in the kitchen prepping her famous Christmas cookies and will have some samples for all the children to enjoy, the adults will enjoy some complimentary winter warmers here too! Then it’s time for the all-important meeting with the main man himself, who will spend some time chatting to each family individually and snap some photos together. Each child will receive a new cuddly, sustainable gift from Santa to treasure forever! After you have told Santa all your Christmas wishes, the train will take you back to spend some time at the Winter Wonderland Village and Festive Funfair. For those who make the trip to Santa’s House Express every year, you’ll be delighted to hear that the funfair is back and better than ever before with all new rides and 2 tokens included for each child. Guests can purchase delicious festive treats or a selection of hot food and drinks from our vendors. New additions for 2024 include immersive digital experiences. There will be lots of photo opportunities along the way including the optional souvenir printed photo on Santa’s Sleigh so that you can treasure the memories forever.

Will we get to meet Santa?Yes - each family will meet Santa individually in his reading room after they’ve taken the train up to his Manor. Santa will spend some time chatting and will give a special gift to each child. You are welcome to take your own photos with Santa.

How long does the experience last?Guests can expect to spend about 90 minutes on site, including one hour for the train journey and visit to Santa’s Manor. Guests can spend as long as they like in the Winter Wonderland village where they can enjoy the festive funfair or some food from the vendors.

What do I need to bring / when should I arrive?The time you book is the start time of your experience not the time of your visit to Santa. Please aim to be at the venue 15 minutes before your experience start time and allow for traffic delays. Please bring your QR barcoded ticket for scanning by our team on entry. This can be shown on your phone, printing is not necessary. Dress appropriately for winter weather, you will be outdoors for some of the experience. Christmas jumpers are encouraged, and of course don’t forget your Christmas spirit!

Will children receive a gift?Each child will receive a premium gift from Santa, a soft cuddly collectable, that has been carefully made in his Toy Factory. Every child and infant will receive the same gift. This is a sustainable gift that kids can cherish as their trusty companion for years to come! Please note gifts are not meant to represent any particular ticket value, or indicate the type of gifts our little guests can expect on Christmas morning. The ticket price includes the entire experience and gifts are only a small part of this. Our cuddly gifts are deemed suitable for children of the most receptive Santa visiting age. They are suitable from birth. Our gifts are eco-friendly and made from fully recycled materials. If any guest would like to receive the gift from Santa, simply book a Child's ticket for this person, and they will receive the present from Santa on the day. Take a look at our adorable 2023 toy above, Snowy the husky pup! Our 2024 gift will be a new member of the Arctic Animal collection - keep an eye on socials for the reveal!

Will the funfair return this year?Yes - when you arrive at our Winter Wonderland after visiting Santa in his Manor you will find the funfair. Each child ticket comes with 2 tokens = 2 funfair rides. There will be all new festive themed funfair rides this year. Guests can purchase extra tokens for the funfair on the day.

Is this event different by day and by night?A lot of our experience is the same by-day and by-night, but we do have beautiful lighting and projections which can truly be appreciated from 4pm onwards. During the day our beautiful country estate and sets can be seen more clearly, both are magical!

Are there discounts available for carers/groups with special needs?Visitors with special needs may admit one accompanying carer free of charge . All carers must select a carer request at booking stage, please note this is not a confirmed ticket, you will need to bring relevant ID or documentation, such as an associated membership card or anything that shows proof that you are the carer for the guest in order to gain entry on the day. Please note there are limited free carer tickets available at specific sessions. Do get in touch with us directly if there are any specific special needs or requests and we will do our best to accommodate all.

Do you have any sensory friendly times?Yes we will have a sensory friendly session Saturday November 23rd at 9.30 am , during which the music will be played at a lower level and staff will take extra care in ensuring any additional needs are met. These sessions will be visible and highlighted in blue on our booking system on the days they are available. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if there is anything you are concerned about in advance of your booking.

Is the event wheelchair friendly?Yes we can accommodate wheelchair users throughout the experience - we do require prior notice to ensure the best possible experience. Our trains have limited capacity therefore guests to are required to book a wheelchair pass (free) on our booking system as part of their order, this will ensure a wheelchair spot on the train. Sessions will show up as unavailable where the wheelchair capacity on the train has already been filled up. If this happens, please try the next available time slot. Some small amendments to our planned event will be made to facilitate wheelchair access in the best way possible. Can I take photos?Yes we encourage you to bring your phones / cameras to capture the meet with Santa himself & other parts of the experience. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase a professional printed souvenir photo on Santa’s sleigh. This can be purchased in advance with your tickets or on the day of your visit at the event. Please note there is no video professional photo taking or video recording equipment permitted at any time.

Why is there a booking fee added?There are charges passed on to us for secure payment transaction services to process credit/debit card transactions, also for the installation and maintenance of ticketing systems and all other costs associated with secure online bookings. Please note that refunds under any circumstances, only apply to ticket prices and not booking fees. Booking fees are charged at the start of a transaction for services and cannot be refunded by the operator

How can I amend my booking?If you think you may need to change your booking date or time, please ensure you create an account at the time of booking. You can change your booking, up to 96 hours before your scheduled visit. There will be a €10 admin charge per booking to change your ticket to another date/time. To access your account and make any changes to your booking please see here: https://santashouseexpress.digitickets.co.uk/account/login If you have not created an account, please get in touch with our customer service team who will be happy to set one up for you. Unfortunatley it is not possible to facilitate booking changes within 96 hours of your booked time. Tickets are non-refundable but are transferrable to other guests.

How do I add more guests to my booking?Please purchase the extra tickets for the same date/time as the booking you already have. Simply bring the two booking references with you on the day and you can all go together as one group.

How much are printed souvenir photos?A Printed souvenir photo in Santa's Sleigh is the perfect momento for your visit to Satna House Express. This can be purchased in advance with your tickets or on the day of your visit at the event. 1 print for €12.50 Or Buy 2 get 1 free (3 prints) for €25

Can I cancel my booking?No, unfortunately tickets are non-refundable but they are transferable to friends and family.

I can't find my e-ticket / confirmation email?Tickets are sent automatically from our ticketing system when you complete an order. It will show up in your inbox from Santa's House Express vis an email address noreply@digitickets.co.uk Sometimes this can go into spam / junk folders so please check there first if you have not received. You can email us at tickets@santashouseexpress.ie if you are still having trouble locating your email. You must show this email on arrival and present the barcode for scanning (we recommend you turn your brightness up and have dark-mode off on your phone for ease)

Is it possible to stay overnight?No, unfortunately, overnight stays are not available to purchase. Palmerstown House is a private Manor and not a typical Hotel.

Will there be food / drinks available to purchase?Yes our 'Winter Wonderland Village' is situated just outisde the clubhouse next to the funfair. It will host plenty of food stalls providing hot drinks and food by our partner vendors. A hot chocolate is a must! You can also pre-book A La Carte dining indoors at Sindon's Bar & Restaurant in Palmerstown Golf Club, email events@palmerstownhouse.ie to book.

Are buggies allowed?There is no capacity on the train to take buggies up to the Manor House, and for health & safety reasons it is not possible to walk on the roads. We would advise you to leave them in your car, as we cannot accept responsibility for any personal property left on the premises. When the train drops you back, you can then get your buggies from your car and you may bring them into the Winter Wonderland Village and Funfair area.

What age group is the funfair for?We focus on having rides suitable for children of most receptive Santa visiting age (toddlers up until age 10 - 12)
